Pretty sure the window to get it withdrawn is over with?

Signed.
I dunno about that meme, though. Racecar anarchy

Clearly, but I figured it would get more attention since americans are so militant about everything..

I recently moved to Maryland (never come here) and I was talking to a friend who lives in Federal Hill about how we need to build a sled, get drunk and go down the hill. She looked at me and said, “Where’s there a hill?”
I sighed. First of all....Federal....HILL? And second of all, we can find a damn hill. Stop focusing on the negative and focus on fun!
Basically, the whole state is like this so it is easy to see why stuff like this appears.

YES someone who didn’t post change.org

As someone who is forced to live in Maryland. I agree whole heartily with this statement

I’ll quote Dan Neil on this silly hullabaloo:
“[This is a] tempest in a teacup, stirred with a shrill anti-government spoon.”

I’m not from the states, but surely there must be an easier way for the EPA to curb emissions. Race car conversions are fairly niche, and stopping them wouldn’t even put a dent in emissions compared to even slightly lowering those from things like factories, power plants, and of course, regular cars. Seriously, are they that desperate? Edit! Also, can anyone front page this thing? Apparently the due date is in March, so it could rack up a ton of extra signatures by then.

I dont know... And I agree with you, I feel like they should go after big rigs, which operate for hours and hours more than the average catless race car... If you ask me thats where Hybrid tech should focus, getting them off the line with as little as fuel consumption as possible before switching to full combustion. Also the instant torque has to help get them to speed faster, which would help traffic, which would reduce congestion etc..

That’s true! Big Rigs would be the ideal focus point! I’d be curious to see an emissions curve for them during a regular drive. It is a ridiculous amount of mass to get up to speed. Also, you have my vote for head of the EPA.

I am not signing that petition because 1) It’s worded incorrectly. As written, it’s meaningless. 2) These petitions are largely ineffective. 3) Signing means the Feds know where I am. (Ok, that last one is a bit of a joke.)

Yea, I didnt write it if it helps any lol. But you got to make noise while you can.

Y’all got your priorities fucked up - and it’s sad that this petition got close to 100,000 signatures while the reduce-the-25-year-ban petition got nil.

I mean what the fuck is going on. The EPA needs to look up the word “convoluted”

And holy hell 475 signs until goal and nearly a month to go is one damn successful petition, even though the nature of the usefulness of Internet petitions is debatable.

Not to be too cynical, but usually nothing happens in congress unless there is money involved....so who stands to benefit the most of this goes through?
